about

“Liebesfreud” is part of Alt-Wiener Tanzweisen - a set of three pieces for violin and piano composed by Fritz Kreisler. Liebesfreud - Love's Joy), Liebesleid (Love's Sorrow), and Schön Rosmarin (Lovely Rosemary). The pieces were published in 1905, Kreisler often played them as encores at concerts, and in 1911 he published solo piano arrangements. Liebesfreud and Liebesleid were also transcribed for solo piano by Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Django Reinhardt's version inspired this rendition of "Liebesfreud." Nataly's interpretation incorporates the passion and expressiveness that are hallmarks of both Kreisler's and Reinhardt's styles. With her deep appreciation for the musical traditions of Europe and America, Nataly brings a unique voice to this timeless piece. Her interpretation highlights the timeless appeal of Kreisler's melodies while incorporating the energy and excitement of Reinhardt's gypsy jazz.
